vash - what services do veterans receive?

Veterans are offered the services they need for recovery from homelessness. This will include primary care services, and may include mental health or substance abuse treatment services. Assistance with income, including help with seeking employment or disability benefits, credit repair and money management are additional services in HUD-VASH. The program will assist with locating and securing appropriate housing, will assist with landlord and PHA procedures and will assist with planning the move. Community reintroduction assistance may be another supportive service provided, such as recreation planning, reconnecting with friends and family, developing new relationships, reconnecting with cultural or spiritual growth, etc. Other assistance, as identified by the veteran’s needs, may be available, including skill training, advocacy, clinical assessment and support and linkage to other community service providers.
