Every rental unit must have a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. At least one smoke detector is required on every level. Everything should work as it was intended including appliances, bathroom fixtures, doors, windows, lights, and electrical outlets.

The unit should be clean such that there are no sanitary hazards and it must be free from accumulation of garbage or other debris that may be hazardous including unused appliances, chemicals, paint cans, boards and other building materials.

The unit should also be free from infestations of rats, mice, roaches, and other vermin.
